About Relacsil
We offer lacquers which modify the adherence of adhesives. If adhering films are “peeled-apart”, and a message has been back-printed with Relacsil, then that message remains readable even if the adhesive has been heated or cooled.
Thus, attempts to enter a sealed package by freeze-hardening the adhesive will still result in the visible evidence when peeled apart.
A variant of Relacsil can be radiation-activated to show the same effect, without the need for back-printing, when exposed to the beam of a low-power CO2 laser. In this way on-demand, variable information can be stored in a covert way until revealed by peeling-apart.
Application
Relacsil is printable and ink receptive release lacquer for pressure sensitive labels, film and tapes. Its high degree of purity and quality offers superior properties and performance to critical users. Relacsil – C131 is designed for use on PE, PP, PET films with various pressure sensitive adhesives, primarily for obtaining release in self wound tapes where tight peel is mandatory. Relacsil is expected to give a peel strength 2-3 times the level expected from most silicone release agents.

Surface Raising Lacquer
About ThermoSwell
We offer inks (for flexography, screen or gravure), either water-based or solvent-based, which, after coating and drying, will expand when heated. The temperature of the expansion is 100-130C, and this produces a tactile effect or a “soft-touch” feel. Volume increases of a few percent up to several hundred percent are possible. The swelling could be accompanied by a colour change such that “intaglio” text (and codes) could be written by a laser beam. A special form of Thermoswell ink is under development, as a means of printing Braille.
Application
The Sterisure steam labels are process indicators to identify processed and non processed products.
The Sterisure steam labels should not be used as dosimeters.

Self adhesive label 12mm diameter, 5000 per reel, 1 dot per width, 10 reels per box and also available as an ink.

Technical Specification
Thermoswell FTV120 is water based printing ink that increases in volume when heated through its activation temperature. The ink may be activated by heat, steam or by a low power CO2 laser. The level of expansion is dependent upon the dry coat weight of the ink: the higher the coat weight, the greater the expansion. Thermoswell FTV120 can be applied by Flexography/Gravure or by flood Coating to paper and filmic substrates. For further information please contact the manufacturer.
