Sterisure Gamma
Sterilisation Indicator Dots & Tape
Gamma Radiation for Sterilisation
Gamma rays are high energy electromagnetic waves which are only stopped by thick lead. This means they can easily pass through medical equipment, such as syringes. As gamma rays pass through the packaging they will kill living tissue such as viruses and bacteria. As long as the equipment remains in a sealed plastic pack it will remain free of viruses and bacteria.
Our Sterisure Gamma indicator dots and tape can be used as qualitative process indicators to
ensure full and proper sterilisation has occurred.
Features
• Consistent colour change on a uniform label from yellow/orange to red
• Each batch is independently validated in a recognised Gamma plant
• The chemistry and product ranges have been completely developed in house
• 12.5mm with self adhesive backing
Also unlike many of the competitive sterilisation indicators Sterisure Gamma contains no heavy metals.

Application
The Sterisure-Gamma Indicator Labels are process indicators to differentiate irradiated and non irradiated products.
The indicators are sensitive to the Gamma radiation process and should be used as an indicator, not as a dosimeter.
Format
Self adhesive label 12mm diameter, 5000 per reel, also available in other formats or as an ink.
Order Size
Flexible order quantities are available, in multiples of 5000 dots.
Lead Time
Less than 5 weeks to despatch from receipt of order.
Technical Specification
For use as a process indicator (Class 1), for the sterilisation of packs by gamma irradiation. There is a noticeable colour change at 5kGy with increased colour density up to 100kGy.
Shelf Life and Storage
Sterisure-Gamma Indicator Labels have a shelf life of 24 months from the date of manufacture prior to sterilisation,
provided they are stored in ambient conditions below 20°C and 50% R.H. and in the dark.

Steam for Sterilisation
Steam Sterilisation is a simple yet very effective decontamination method. Sterilisation is achieved by exposing products to saturated steam at high temperatures (121°C to 134°C). Product(s) are placed in a device called the autoclave and heated through pressurized steam to kill all micro-organisms including spores.
Our Sterisure Steam indicator dots and tape can be used as qualitative process indicators to
ensure full and proper sterilisation has occurred.
Features
• Consistent colour change on a uniform label from Pink to black
• Each batch is validated in-house
• The chemistry and product ranges have been completely developed in house
• 12.5mm diameter 'dots' with self adhesive backing
Also unlike many of the competitive sterilisation indicators Sterisure Steam contains no heavy metals.

Application
The Sterisure steam labels are process indicators to identify processed and non processed products.
The Sterisure steam labels should not be used as dosimeters.
Format
Self adhesive label 12mm diameter, 5000 per reel, 1 dot per width, 10 reels per box and also available as an ink.
Order Size
Flexible order quantities are available, in multiples of 5000 dots.
Lead Time
Less than 4 weeks to despatch from receipt of order.
Technical Specification
Sterisure Steam sterilization process indicators are heavy metal-free indicator labels which undergo a visual colour change from pink to black when exposed to steam. The indicators are designed for use in hospital steam autoclaves operating at 121ºC / 1 bar or 134ºC / 2 bar.
Sterisure steam sterilization process indicators are Class 1 process indicators and are manufactured in compliance with ISO 11140-1:2005 "Sterilization of health care products - Chemical indicators - Part 1: General requirements
Shelf Life and Storage
Sterisure steam Indicator labels have a shelf life of 18 months from the date of manufacture prior to use, provided they are stored in ambient conditions below 20°C and 50% R.H. and away from direct sunlight

Ethylene Oxide (EtO) for Sterilisation
Ethylene Oxide (EtO) sterilization is mainly used to sterilize medical and pharmaceutical products that cannot support conventional high temperature steam sterilization - such as devices that incorporate electronic components, plastic packaging or plastic containers.
EtO gas infiltrates packages as well as products themselves to kill micro organisms that are left during production or packaging processes.
Our Sterisure EtO indicator dots and tape can be used as qualitative process indicators to
ensure full and proper sterilisation has occurred.
Features
Consistent colour change from purple to Green on a uniform label
Each batch is independently validated in a recognised ETO plant
The chemistry and product ranges have been completely developed in house.
Also unlike many of the competitive sterilisation indicators Sterisure EtO contains no heavy metals.
Application
The Sterisure ETO labels are process indicators to differentiate between processed and non-processed products.
The Sterisure ETO labels are sensitive to the ethylene oxide analogue and should not be used as dosimeters.
Format
Self adhesive label 12mm diameter, 5000 per reel, also available in other formats or as an ink.
Order Size
Flexible order quantities are available, in multiples of 5000 dots.
Lead Time
Less than 4 weeks to despatch from receipt of order.
Technical Specification
For use as a process indicator (Class 1) for the sterilization of goods by ethylene oxide. In the presence of ethylene oxide at a concentration of 600 +/- 30mg/l and 60+/- 10%RH at 30° C, the indicator will show a colour change after a time period (>5 minutes as specified by ISO -11140-1:2005)
Shelf Life and Storage
Sterisure ETO indicators have a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture prior to sterilization, provided they are stored in ambient conditions below 20°C and 50% R.H. and in the dark. Unprocessed indicators may experience colour changes at raised temperatures.
Precautions : The indicators must be protected from exposure to excessive heat, sunlight, chemicals or chemical vapours.

Plasma for Sterilisation
Traditional sterilisation methods are no longer effective against all pathogens. By means of plasma, on the other hand, exceptionally stubborn bacteria stems can be killed off, researchers have demonstrated. A new sterilizer that is specifically suited for ridding medical instruments of germs efficiently, yet without damaging the material.
Our Sterisure Plasma indicator dots and tape can be used as qualitative process indicators to
ensure full and proper sterilisation has occurred.
Features
• Consistent colour change on a uniform label from magenta to yellow
• Each batch is validated in-house
• The chemistry and product ranges have been completely developed in house
• 12.5mm with self adhesive backing
Also unlike many of the competitive sterilisation indicators Sterisure Plasma contains no heavy metals.
